The map editor includes a full set of drawing tools for creating your map.

Select & Pan

Click to select elements, drag to move them. Use the hand tool or hold Space to pan the canvas. Scroll to zoom in and out.

Drawing

Freehand brush for sketching coastlines, borders, or terrain details. Adjust brush size and color in the property panel.

Shapes & Text

Place rectangles, circles, polygons, lines, arrows, and stars. Add text labels for cities, regions, mountains, and other features.

Images

Upload reference images or background maps. Import existing maps and draw over them with markers and labels.

Layers

Maps use a layer system to organize your content. Each layer can be shown, hidden, locked, or adjusted for opacity.

Layer Management

New maps start with four default layers: Background, Terrain, Features, and Labels. Add custom layers for borders, roads, or any other category. Reorder layers by dragging, and lock layers to prevent accidental edits.
